For the first time ever, Triple Double will team up with 43 Hoops to present the Metro Summer League, which will showcase some of the best amateur basketball talent in Minnesota. With that, for the first time ever Triple Double will offer summer internship opportunities. It will be a six-week program that will be high energy, but in a relaxed environment. After high school, there aren't many appealing options for young adults to play organized, competitive basketball. Triple Double gives adults ages 18 to 25 a chance to compete in an exciting environment.
As a nonprofit organization, Triple Double and its success relies on its community of players and volunteers to help with promotions and game-day operations. The Triple Double internship program offers college students the opportunity to gain experience in a number of different fields, including marketing, community and public relations, photojournalism, graphic design and print journalism.
Photography interns will be responsible for taking the vast majority of the action and non-action photos for TripleDoubleOnline.com. He or she will work closely with the Web editor to capture electric images for the Web. The photographer also will be responsible for editing his or her own photos before they are uploaded to the Web.

Photography interns will be required to work an average of eight to 12 hours a week, most of which may be done from home. Must be able to attend most game nights: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays and/or Thursdays. The program runs from May 21 to July 2.

Triple Double is looking for a team of inventive and energetic individuals with strong people skills to head this mission: Promoting leadership and developing a sense of social and community responsibility in young adult males.
Public/community relations interns will have the opportunity to create and execute charitable and promotional events in different communities in the Twin Cities. The Triple Double Community is strong and it aims to help strengthen other communities through volunteerism and positive stewardship.
This role requires creativity, strong attention to details and the ability to work well in a team.
Other duties include, but are not limited to: Writing press releases and other promotional material; managing social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter; provide administrative and operational support associated with game days.

Reporting interns will work closely with the Web editor, who will mentor he or she how to write basketball game summaries on deadline and how to conduct interviews with the players. Reporting interns also will have the opportunity to pitch and write a variety of feature stories for Triple Double Online.
